Watch "The Corporation"
Make some popcorn and spend about an hour watching at least eight of the chapters of “The Corporation” video. Be sure to watch chapters 1-4 and 22-23. The other two can be of your choosing (the entire collection runs approx. 2 ½ hours).

Watch for specific issues that surprise you, anger you, or most impact your current perspective. Note specific positions presented, then reflect on the issue raised. Following are some additional questions that might stimulate your reflections:
Do corporations really play a special role in society today?
What is/are the appropriate primary obligation/s of a corporation?
Should corporations be regarded as separate personalities from the individuals that act on their behalf?
Can a corporation have a moral responsibility?
Who should own "the commons" such as natural resources, air, water, rivers? Would they be maintained better or more efficiently used if privately owned? Should public services, e.g. fire protection, education, be privatized to be provided more efficiently?
Is the Media, as it pertains to advertising, playing an appropriate role in our society today?
Is the Media, as it pertains to the provision of information, playing an appropriate role in our society today?
Is it appropriate for government to defend corporate interests abroad? Militarily?
What do you think of Ray Anderson, CEO of Interface, calling himself, and other CEOs, “plunderers of the Earth”?
What kinds of information held by a corporation should systematically be made available to outsiders (e.g. product safety, marketing approaches…)
